Talk about a life changing beauty product (Ok..I am being dramatic)! But, SERIOUSLY… If you have tried the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, you know exactly what I am talking about. To be honest, before receiving the TLSP, I had been dying to try it out but…yet again, my commitment issues to expensive products held me back (remember, I am on a college budget y’all Haha). Good thing Sephora and Influenster came to the rescue! I recently received a complimentary Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, in the shade translucent. Let me just say, wow, my whole makeup look changed!
So Beauties… Here are 2 ways that I use this TLSP! ❤
1.Baking
To be honest, I was never into using the “baking” technique. One, because I did have a loose powder. Nor did I buy any because what I had been using, was working perfectly for me. Two, I didn’t think it would do my overall foundation look any good. Silly, I know…because I was SOOO wrong! Haha
I use the TLSP to set my under eyes, the bridge of my nose, chin, and jawline… Ok, basically my whole face! Haha
I load my Laura Mercier velour puff with the loose powder. Folding the puff in half, I working the powder into the puff. I then tap off the excess powder, leaving just a tad so that I can still bake. The key to this whole TLSP situation is to press and roll the puff onto your skin to set your foundation. I then let the powder “bake” for a couple of minutes!
For a lack of a better description, I feel like the TLSP just left my face with an ultra dream look. Am I right!? Maybe the words “soft focus” are a better way to describe it. Haha. Not only did my skin just look smooth and flawless, my fine lines and pores were basically non-existent! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.
2.Setting BB cream
Most days, I don’t wear a full coverage foundation, as I have mentioned before.During the week I usually just apply a lightweight BB cream, mascara, and I am out the door. Recently, I have been using the TLSP to set my BB cream. The TLSP really allows for a matte finish and all day wear, that is super light weight. Also, it absorbs that unwanted oil that might show up throughout the day. Major plus!!!
